Meet new ISS Leaders at EARCOS and NESA
This year, we were very excited to welcome two new members to the ISS leadership team: Tom Hawkins and Dana Watts. They both have an incredible passion for international education, and they are ready to connect with you! If you’re attending the upcoming NESA and EARCOS conferences this fall, come say hello.
Dr. Thomas Hawkins will assume the role of ISS Vice President of School Start-Up and Management, effective August 2020. You can meet him at the NESA Fall Leadership Conference (Oct 24-27, 2019).
Tom’s role will be critical to supporting approximately 20 international schools throughout the world that are owned and/or managed by ISS, while also overseeing a global team of Senior Leadership Executives. With the growing demand for international education, Tom will also work closely with many individuals and entities who are interested in opening and operating high-quality, international schools. In June, we welcomed Dr. Dana Specker Watts to the ISS team as Director of Research and Development. Dana will be presenting on the Diversity Collaborative at the NESA Fall Leadership Conference (Oct 24-27, 2019). You can also find her at the EARCOS Fall Leadership Conference (Oct 31- Nov 2, 2019), leading a professional development workshop.
Dana supports School Start-Up and Management services, developing new school startup and management tools, expanding training programs, and increasing overall service offerings. Dana works closely with ISS President Liz Duffy on strategic initiatives and professional learning programs, including the Mary Anne Haas ISS Women’s Symposium and the Diversity Collaborative.
